Classes at The Silver Thimble

Much of what I have learned about sewing and quilting came from fellow sewers and quilters during retreats and classes. Our classroom is a relaxing place to come together and learn something new by sharing tips and techniques with each other. Having a little fun and food while doing it doesn't hurt either!

Open Sew is still available for $3 per person.  You can use our classroom to work on any craft projects that you like.  Get a group of friends together and spend an uninterrupted day having fun.  We have several restaurants close by for a lunch break.

If you have a group of 3 or more that would like to learn a project, we will schedule a class for your group.

Button Bowls

Button Bowls are the cutest way to keep little things organized.  You can use seasonal fabrics to make candy dishes.  These would be excellent for holding cotton swabs or loose change.  The possibilities are endless.

Class: Tuesday, June 20th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Fee: $15.00 includes the kit (Patriotic fabric)

All Aboard Train Case Trio

Travel in style with this fun trio of zippered containers.  Three different sizes ensure that you will have just the right size for all your travel needs.  You will need a walking foot on your sewing machine in order to make this project.

Class: Saturday, June 24th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Fee: $15.00 + supplies

Petite Pochette

Petite Pochette sounds just as elegant as the purse is.  The classy metal closure sets off these little bags so nicely.  These would be great for bridal parties or little girls Easter/Communion outfilts.

Class: Tuesday, July 18th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Fee: $30.00 includes kit
